Jesus Christ Yesterday, Today and Forever: the Eucharist and the Graces of Advent

Join visiting Fr. James Sullivan and Fr. Jonah Teller in an Advent retreat from December 1 - 3. The sessions will include preaching, lectio divina, music, an opportunity for confession, and Eucharistic Adoration.

Fr. James Sullivan, O.P., is a Dominican priest of the Province of Saint Joseph (eastern United States). He holds a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Dominican House of Studies and a Licentiate in Philosophy from The Catholic University of America, both in Washington, DC. Fr. Sullivan has served as Prior and Pastor at Saint Dominic’s Church in Youngstown, Ohio and at Saint Louis Bertrand Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He has taught systematic theology at Saint Joseph’s Seminary—Dunwoodie, in Yonkers, New York, and homiletics at Mount Saint Mary Seminary of the West in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has served as Novice Master for his Province, as the Director for the priests’ sabbatical program at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, as a Spiritual Director at Saint John’s Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts, as Pastor of Saint Pius V Church in Providence, Rhode Island, and as Director of Spiritual Formation at Our Lady of Providence Seminary, also in Providence.  At present, Fr. Sullivan is Prior of Saint Dominic’s Priory and Director of Pastoral Formation at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC.

Fr. Jonah Teller, O.P., is a friar of the Dominican Province of Saint Joseph. At present, he serves as parochial vicar at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (Greenwich Village) in New York City. He holds a licentiate in sacred theology from the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies. Along with Fr. Andrew Hofer, O.P., he is the co-composer of the devotionals Nine Days with St. Joseph and Nine Days with St. Michael, and he is a regular contributor to the publication Magnificat. He is also a guitarist and vocalist with The Hillbilly Thomists.
