Since its inception, the Committee has sponsored a wide variety of events that have included pancake breakfasts, dining out events, summer brunch/luncheon cruises of Boston Harbor aboard The Odyssey, Irish and Italian Nights, wine tastings, and, more recently, bingo nights in collaboration with the Swampscott Senior Center. The Committee has also collaborated with the Haiti Planning Committee over the past several years in coordinating the annual fundraiser for our sister parish, St. Catherine D’Arnaud in Haiti, one of many parishes in impoverished areas around the globe that are part of the national organization, Twinning Parishes of America.

St. John’s Social Committee members have an inexhaustible zest for life as doers, dreamers, and designers of social events to bring parishioners closer together in fellowship and faith. We are always seeking additional members for many hands make light work and, most importantly, we have such fun doing what we do! So, if you have a few hours to give to help with an event or wish to become a Committee member, we would love to have you!
